She was a member of the administration. It was in a book she later published exposing the 1980 'October Surprise.' It has been awhile, don't have a copy to remind me of the website.
Not being a US citizen I appreciate greatly the constitutional protection given to the "freedom of speech", something lacking in many of our "democracies".
Unfortunately when editors such as David Corn cannot be called out for an open discussion and defence of his editorials, there is not much that can be done, other than litigation, where there is no win win for anyone. And so the muckrakers continues to thrive, but taking on such low-lives is not worth the effort, and hopefully they will be hoisted by their own petards.
Very well written and researched. I used to subscribe to Mother Jones back in the 80s. At the time I thought they did solid work but perhaps they were already tainted? It's always about follow the money eh? Not sure when exactly they became compromised, or if it was a slow process, but I've been highly suspicious of them in recent times (eg. in the wake of their Russiagate delusions).
