I can stop holding my breath, I think! I've been in this fight since the early nineties and it's been exhausting. We tried in CT to get a labeling law and we did but they put so many roadblocks in our way because the Grocery Manufacturing Association and Monsanto would sue the state that it finally wasn't enabled. Vermont came in and got the law, passed it, and then were sued... but they won. Then Debbie Stabinow came in and preempted the states with Federal legislation that stopped anyone from getting proper labels. She probably got a large chunk of money to do that. I'm now hopeful for once in a very long time. I hope to see this happen because I have watched our health system disintegrate with all the health issues. I am 81 this month so hoping this will happen soon so I can yell, Hoorah!

I had no idea there were people out there like you. A one woman dynamo! Thanks for sharing. I'm so glad this important issue is beginning to be addressed. One thing I learned, I can't do it myself. The problem is just too big.

Finally, my tax dollars are going to something I support 100%! I believe that just as Bill Wilson was the country's greatest influential visionary of the 20th century, RFK Jr will be that of the 21st.

The government entities (FDA, USDA) that are controlled by food processing corporations dictate what is allowed. Nestle, ADM, Monsanto, Sysco, Unilever, Tyson, Mondelez, McDonalds, Kraft-Heinz, General Mills, Pilgrims Pride, Smithfields etc. are dictating to the regulators what is "food".

They literally prevent the vast majority of farmers from engaging directly with consumers. Even worse the trade organizations which are also dominated by the food processing corporations drive what is permittable. The food systems just like the medical systems have been contaminated by profit. Smithfields, the worlds largest pork producer is owned by the Chinese.

The last thing these people care about is your health.

So when are these 10,000 chemicals going to get removed: probably around the same time vaccine approvals are required to do that gold standard testing that RFK promised. Or, maybe around the same time that the Epstein files are released. I’m trying to be patient, but things just aren’t adding up to anything close to the change that we voted for.

Forget Epstein files. A whole lot of nothing. Won't fix the government. That's Trump's job and he's doing splendidly. My life is too important to waste time trying to sneak into some pedophile's life because anti-Trumpers are leaving suggestive messages. Get a life!

Are you a mother? Because if not us, then who? This is the coverup of the century. I voted for Trump and I do have a BIG BEAUTIFUL life. Perhaps best not to presume to know perfect strangers in support of your undying Trump love affair. Thankfully MAGA is furious and so they should be in this big lie and betrayal.

A great report, Professor! This will go a long way toward educating those that are unaware.

It is now up to each of us to continue spreading the word! Repost, and share the facts with everyone you know. Share with your friends, young and old alike.

We need to broach the topic gently and sometimes slowly with some people we know. Many cannot fathom the FD@ would have allowed this to happen for 55-100 years. But it did.

As usual, we were betrayed by lack of knowledge, lack of education, blind faith, lack of communication, greed, etc. It may be too late for some of us, but it's never too late to help others learn, especially our young people.

Spread the info, friends. It is never too late to save lives.

Thanks for the overview on GRAS. It’s time that loophole was removed. I try to cook with fresh foods rather than processed. It is hard to know just what to avoid since some things don’t appear on the label. I’ve now added the app Yuka that helps me choose good or excellent food choices. Hopefully, we will succeed in getting these harmful substances out of our foods.
