Friday News Roundup - RFK Jr. Has a New Campaign Manager as His Independent Race Continues
“Complex scientific and moral problems are not resolved through censorship of dissenting opinions, deleting content from the Internet, or defaming scientists and authors who present information challenging to those in power. Censorship leads instead to greater distrust of both government institutions and large corporations.” - RFK Jr.
Dennis Kucinich Leaves Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Presidential Campaign - The New York Times
This New York Times piece outlines how following his announcement to run independently, RFK Jr. has a new campaign manager and it is his daughter-in-law.
Important quotes from this pice include:
“Mr. Kucinich’s departure came a surprise even to Mr. Kennedy’s press secretary, who was informed of it on Friday afternoon by a New York Times reporter.”
“Ms. Kennedy has already been on the campaign payroll, according to the campaign’s financial report covering the three-month period ending Sept. 30, which was filed with the Federal Election Commission on Friday.”
“Mr. Kucinich confirmed in a brief interview on Friday afternoon, before the campaign release came out, that he was no longer Mr. Kennedy’s campaign manager. He said that he would “not discuss any internal communications of the campaign.””

We don’t know why Dennis Kucinich left, but with Israel using white phosphorus bombs and stating they will not respect the Geneva conventions, unconditional support for Israel becomes a problem for RFK. He educates so well on everything else, that he can surely condemn the Netanyahu government’s response and yet still express a support for Israel.....but unconditional support when their response is not in anyway proportional is not really feasible for a peace candidate.
Very disappointed to see Kucinich go. Is this because of their difference of opinion on Israel? RFKs recent comments were very pro-war sounding for an anti-war candidate. The way this conflict is dividing us is devastating. Also, less than thrilled to see a Bill Gates retweet on his new campaign managers page. RFK still has my vote- just very unsettling.
