Good one, Lou. Many of us are in the same position.

These lines describe perfectly what just happened:

"Harris floated into the political atmosphere like one of those ominous spy balloons. We do not know who put her up there, what she is doing, or who she is communicating with.

"Harris likes balloons. We are told Harris worked at McDonalds, came from a middle-class family, and that we are to be joyful. She has been the Vice President for almost four years. She did a bang-up job as border czar. Although she agrees with everything President Biden did, she will be different. And better. And yet the same."

It's time to curb the power of political parties by taking them out of the nomination process. Every state should have the same requirements for every party candidate as they have for independent candidates: collect enough signatures. But to keep money out of politics, the signature collectors should all be volunteer. And we don't need state and local governments footing the bill for party primaries. One general election with Ranked Choice Voting is all we need and that could save local government millions of dollars.

Political parties are private corporations that can decide who the nominee is in "smoke-filled back rooms" if they want to. They don't need to hold elections, as the DNC lawyers told Bernie supporters.

thanks for this Lou. this is what I need to have a few family members & friends read. in no way, shape or form am I happy about being put into a position where I feel compelled to vote for Trump but the DNC & adjacent blob are squarely to blame for this situation. 110%. their doublespeak would make Orwell blush. the current corporate media denial of the chronic disease epidemic is nothing short of stunning and stupid. their rhetoric is insulting. I've heard many say that the old Eastern Block countries under USSR at least KNEW they were being propagandized but damn if the party faithful aren't completely oblivious. like the 12-step program you allude to, the first step is admitting you have a problem but boy I sure don't see it happening for the devotees of the likes of MSNBC. I don't even have an appropriate word for that. I'm not a particularly religious person but I am praying hard for the future of the country & world

I would love to have family members read this- but they would refuse. The blindness and refusal to even think outside the "box" is just there. But, I did my research and read all of Harris's "plans" on her website- when it became available late in the game- and did not see a change or solutions that are viable.

Do not tell propagandized folks cognitive dissonance things. Ask questions. Ask--What does the Democrat Party mean to you?

The Dem party USED to mean the things RFK, Jr. said when he joined Trump. I was so very excited when a classic democrat was running for President!

Kamala has been bragging about the Republicans endorsing her. Yeah, Liz Cheney, and Lindsey Graham, the worst warmongers in D.C.

The Dems that are walking away are the classic ones . My solid-Dem sister promoted to me Dennis Kucinich, Candace Owens, and Tulsi Gabbard, anti-war people. Such people are becoming Republicans now.

There is a huge re-alignment occurring. Have they noticed that?

I hear ya. when I say 'need', it doesn't mean they actually WILL read it. honestly, I cannot even have conversations with most of them. a 45+ yr friendship went up in flames when I dared to share a well-written piece on the dishonestly and corruption of the DNC. I got in return a finger-wagging lecture on how I was the one being propagandized. :(

if Trump wins, my sister (and only sibling) will loose her mind.

At some point it may occur that you are not "compelled" to vote for DJT

It is your free choice, the most important one you have ever made as concerns the Republic.

Chronic disease... have spent 37 years treating it, however it is most definitely not the most important issue at this point...

Another passionate column! I have not heard HAL's voice since 1968, and get chills remembering "him". I feel visceral distress recognizing the impact of the Deep State which is chronicled in James Grundvig's compelling documentary, Splintering Babylon -- the culmination of which is riveting and should fuel hope. The Unity Alliance is heroic in tackling the demolition of freedom, health, our Constitution, the U.S. government's business of war, increasing subjugation by psychopathic authority of our citizenry. I believe enough people have awakened to this carnage in order to allow Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to lead the USA -- and consequently the people of the planet -- to health and peace. God will support them and all of us.

I don’t hear Trump beating the war drums of Russia. He is pro Israel. Which both sides are. Under trump’s administration the world wasn’t on fire 🔥 the way it is today with all these proxy wars. And I pray he will be in office to work through this and bring peace. There is no peace on the horizon with Harris, she and Biden have shown that. So I voted for Trump as a vote for Bobby because he and Trump need every single vote. Imagine how disappointed I was not being able to vote for Bobby after I collected signatures in the street with a desk asking people to get him in the NY ballot only to be squashed by the DNC. They censored my voice and they didn’t care about “democracy”. I am a first time voter. Receiving my American citizenship 3 years ago. My country of origin is Venezuela. And what I see happening here without hyperbole, is eerily similar to what happened to Venezuela over time. Venezuela with was the crowned jewel of South America. I came here when there was an American Dream to achieve in 1970 as a little girl. There is no more American Dream now. Not even for the American. I don’t care for the duopoly either. And if Kamala gets elected, well, I supposed you have to destroy democracy to rebuild the Republic. Praying for peace.

The scales fell from my eyes and I saw the Democratic party for the fraud it is when Trump, then President, was banned from Twitter, his chief means of communication. The President of the United States effectively incommunicado! And the Democrats said nothing. Imagine the howl they would have put up if FDR, about to begin one of his fireside chats, had been told by the radio networks "Sorry, you're banned from speaking on our network." There would have been riots in the streets.

The Democrats have become the opposite of what they were under JFK. In fact they act like beneficiaries and successors of the coup that killed him. When Robert Kennedy, Jr. announced his independent run for the presidency he was the only candidate who appeared savvy enough and willing to reverse the 1963 coup: "Give me a sword and a piece of ground to stand on and I will take this country back with your help," he told the crowd.

Now it's come to this: we have a choice who to pick for genocider-in-chief. The Biden-Harris regime have given Bomber Bibi everything he wants, from bombs to diplomatic cover, to carry out his country's genocidal expansionism. Trump is surrounded by Likudniks and giving every sign of topping his long list of pro-Israel crimes and misdemeanor committed in his first term, from the assassination of Qassem Soleimani to recognition and support for Israel's illegal land grabs.

Kennedy's addition to a Trump administration would no doubt improve our response to our chronic disease epidemic and advance the other needed issues he campaigned on as an independent. But Kennedy has given no hint that he would or could dissuade Trump from his passionate allegiance to Israel. And since Kennedy's groveling session of schmoozing with Schmuley, it's not likely he would want to.

Therefore I will not be voting for Trump, and most decidedly not for Harris, come what may to our public health, etc. The sacrificed Palestinians and now Lebanese won't let me.

I completely support RFK Jr. I agree with him on every issue (including the support of Isreal).

But I don’t think the RNC is any better than the DNC. They are also beholden to Big Pharma and Big Ag and the war machine. Trump proved all that in his first term.

I’ve tried so hard to get behind Trump but he comes off so small minded, in compassionate and divisive. He does nothing to unite the Country.

I will be voting for Kennedy. I don’t know yet if that means putting the mark on the ballot for RFK or Trump. But when I think of doing the latter it makes me feel ill.

I love this. You hit it right on. I have always been a registered independent and seeing the demise of our democratic process over the last decade has been sickening. I watched the NewsNation's Town Hall last night and it was so nice to see the discussion and disagreements and then the friendships these people still can maintain despite the DNC trying to get everyone to hate each other. Your article is spot on for those of us hoping for a better future for our children and grandchildren.

"We do not know who selected the party's presidential candidate." Same question could be asked of the GOP. I believe the same corrupt power group controls both parties. Sad that RFK did not have enough confidence, faith in himself and the people to follow this through to the end. Trump lies, does not honor his commitments, is only out for what is best for Trump. RFK will not realize his aspirations.

Let's hope I am wrong.

Your disgust with the systemic corruption within the Democratic hierarchy is noted and shared.

Your resort to the personal and systemic corruption within Donald Trump and the Republican hierarchy respectively is noted and ridiculed

RFK, Jr.'s faith that Trump will keep his word vis a vis the former's positions in a new Republican administration is noted for its deadly naivete and tragic betrayals of his father's heroically maintained ideals even unto death.

Mr. Kennedy has fallen prey to the classic either/or false binary commonly described as "choice" that is a foundational deceit in American presidential politics. The only morally defensible answer to the "Do you reject Trump or Harris?" question is "YES!".

For those of us who remember, the hubris and ignorance of Mr. Kennedy never will extinguish the eternal flames of hope and idealism that illuminate the shared legacy of his father and his uncle John. They cannot destroy a dream that will never die.

Sorry but you’re knocking RFK Jr? The man has been put through hell, for telling his fellow citizens the truth on every important issue affecting our lives and you dismiss him as arrogant? The man who perfectly predicted on how the Covid pandemic and the vaccines would be managed and sold to us, by media and federal health agencies, is ignorant? The man who knows the science surrounding vaccines backward and forward, to where even prominent professionals in the field refuse to meet him in debate is “ignorant?” The man who authored bestselling books to provide clarity on who Anthony Fauci ‘really is’ and about Wuhan - is too uppity for your sensibilities? Without Robert Kennedy there would be no Children’s Health Defense to provide critical information on how our children are being systematically exposed to legalized poisonous chemicals. In fact, the controversy surrounding the efficacy of vaccines would still be a dark secret, without this man’s intellectual prowess, commitment to his conscience and ferocious moral courage to fight for ALL of MANKIND - to demand they are SAFE and EFFECTIVE.

It was from the lips of Robert F Kennedy Jr, where I learned the truth behind our infamous role in the proxy Russia/Ukraine war. He gave us this information despite his uncle and father being murdered by the very forces that bring us the ‘forever wars’ which solve nothing and only lead to more conflict and bloodshed. Sir, I haven’t even begun to address the enormous contributions RFK Jr has provided to our country, and the world. At sixty seven years old, I have never witnessed such an impact and high level of appreciation for a presidential candidate working to bring the people together, as this man. The comments from people from all reaches of the planet, who love him for what he inspires, transcend any leader since his dad and uncle.

But, somehow he’s just not good enough for you? Without him, you wouldn’t have this space to plant your selfish drivel. One last thing: Robert Francis Kennedy Jr would respond to you with far more compassion than I am showing you but, I am sorry to say I am not the man he is.
