Woody can call himself whatever he wants to. As a part of Hollywood, he’s done more for the cause than most average, non-showbiz folks, and he puts himself and his livelihood in harms way every time he speaks out, which is again more than most will consider doing. And if I had to bet, anarchist or not, my money’s on him casting votes for Bobby Jr. all the way.

Indeed WH uses his bullhorn in a most intelligent fashion instead of descending into the abyss of mediocrity like his detractors. Suggesting that one is an anarchist at this time is a feather in ones hat.

Woody should run, so RFK can do the work.

I’ve definitely gained some respect for Harrelson based on this post. Seems he’s the opposite of most of Hollywood.

See the fiscal charging method for vital services or goods that created the freedoms in New England colonies and had peace with the Algonquins for 50 years until the Puritan roundheads and Scot fighters arrived with it as immigration finance of 1-million outcompeting indentured servitude and slavery in a generation PAYEing for passage across the sea, tools, and a grubstake for a family for the first year.

A private citizen worth $70 million "is an anarchist". It really is getting harder and harder to take America and Americans seriously.

Expand full comment

Anarchism is typically concerned w/the rejection of nation states and their control of personal freedom. Your critique would be valid if Woody said he was a "communist".

Anarchism is about more than just one sentence of how the world would be different. A person with $70 million has no interest in turning society upside down in his/her own society because he is sitting on the upside of the scale. Whatever Woody is about, it certainly isn't anarchy in his own country. It's the political equivalent of the man saying he is a woman. He isn't. At best, he is deluding himself, at worst he is deluding you for motives yet to be established.

He's also a comedian... one of the few actual funny ones. ;-)

Apparently he lives off the grid in Maui…so as long as he could get on plane to Maui as society is breaking down then he could be an anarchist.

everyone leaves tracks in the sand, and he is an anarchist, always has been. You are advancing the false belief that only the poor are worthy of the term, a Catholic notion.
