Thank you, Keith! I’ve previously done research on Dustin Moskovitz while I co-hosted the Rounding the Earth podcast, so credit to Mathew Crawford for piquing my interest in “effective altruism” in the first place. He’s done great work on the topic, too.

Well, the good news is that people are scared of RFK Jr as president. That tells me he'll be a VERY effective one.

No doubt, Terri. Of course, the people in power scared of RFK Jr. as President are the ones at risk of losing hold of that power. In the end, that power belongs to the American people, not any given elected official.

What happens when Kennedy takes office, and the Demonrat Congress blocks him every step of the way?

Expand full comment

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. In the meantime, the President has executive powers that can be lawfully and fairly used that don't require Congressional approval, and RFK Jr. has discussed a number of executive orders he plans to issue in his first days of taking office.

In other words, while the President can't take full control of government (nor should we want him/her to), there are still major positive actions that can be taken to curtail the "administrative state" while the American people turn their attention to the 2026 mid-term elections.

More evidence that the elites in this country are always trying to rig the system in their favor.

Indeed. It's time to break the cycle of simply swapping one elite for another. RFK Jr.'s campaign to the presidency is already inspiring Americans to take their own lives back into their hands, and this must continue no matter who sits in the Oval Office beyond 2024 and 2028.

When will people figure out that this is not about D vs R, but good vs evil? I support both Kennedy and Trump and so do most of my friends. I would no longer support one of them if they started to bad mouth the other.

Exactly. The last several presidential election cycles have been so full of vitriol and antagonism between candidates, but even worse, the voters of the opposing candidate. Writing off half of America as "deplorable" was wrong as is condemning everybody with progressive values as incorrigible "wokists." Let's stop the name calling and start listening to our neighbors.

Expand full comment

But wait... they may not badmouth each other but Trump is the king of badmouthing and says horrible things about other humans all the time. If this publication wants to lump the two of them together or if that's "the deal" with the RFK Jr campaign. I, and my friends would be out. Trump is a deal breaker. I'm still listening to RFK Jr and so far his message and restraint are exemplary but the more I read here about people wanting to see him on a ticket with Trump the less interest I have.

Expand full comment

I think we all need to get over Trumps ‘mean tweets’ and instead focus on the lawfare being used to destroy him and his candidacy. The tactics being used to discredit RFK Jr are nothing new to anyone who has supported President Trump. It’s time to get over our sensitivities and recognize what is actually going on - there is a permanent, elitist cabal that will do whatever it takes to destroy Trump and RFK for speaking truth. That alone should bring us all together to fight back against our common enemy - and that enemy is not Trumps ‘mean tweets’.

Expand full comment

This is very important. If the American people accept and justify lawfare and censorship when it comes for their political opponents, we are also ushering it in for ourselves. Liberty requires fighting for people you disagree with, just as much as your friends.

Expand full comment

I'm not speaking about mean tweets. Mean tweets don't cause the damage that his presidency has caused for women all over this country. HIs misogynistic treatment of women is abhorrent and his policies and political actions have caused untold trauma for women and many marginalized communities. I have no interest in further discussion around this topic. I will never vote for him no matter who he runs with and neither will any of my friends and associates. That's just true.

Expand full comment

You are not a serious person. You say that Trump has caused harm to women - then instead of giving any specifics to back up your claim, you immediately say you are done speaking on the topic. That’s because you have no specifics - you base your decisions on ‘feelings’. When in reality, our decisions should be based on RESULTS.

Expand full comment

I hope that you can tune out the static. There's no serious conversation about a Trump/JFK coalition. DO NOT BE DISTRACTED, PLEASE. There's waaaaay to much at stake. One is an honorable man of high integrity the other is not, and neither Biden or Trump is a choice, not if we want our country to survive. One represents an external threat, the other a threat from within. This election I fear, could be for all the marbles and many Americans don't even realize the game being played. Policy talk is all good, civic minded and responsible bit I'm not sure that most Americans know what CBDC's, and Vaxx Passports are and how they could/would change and turn our whole world upside down. If you haven't read The Real Anthony F., it'll lead you down a rabbit hole you'll find hard to exit from.

Expand full comment

If you listen to RFKjr you’ll see he points out places where Trump “will have problems.” And that he is “the only Dem who can debate him.” Civility, decency and respect are different than support. Kennedy doesn’t talk about Trump. He states clearly what he did, who he did it with, and why that’s a problem for people. He’s stated clearly he’ll not engage in the kind of belligerent belittling of opponents that is common in politics today. We all know Trump’s a master at it. The statement as written can seem to indicate them being in league. Not everything Trump says and does is off base. But it’s all done in his interest primarily. When that’s settled, it may be good for the country. That is among the major differences between the two. There are many.

I totally agree. I was responding to the suggestion of a Trump-Kennedy ticket which I see thrown around all over in the comments of this publication and the apparent positive nod to that idea by the editors.

Is it even possible, legally speaking, to ban someone from the ballot? Short of revoking their citizenship or congressional impeachment?

Expand full comment
Jul 27, 2023Liked by Liam Sturgess

Excellent question. While it doesn't appear to be legal to actually prevent somebody from appearing on the ballot for the election itself, it's a different story within the primary cycle because of the immense power of the Democratic National Committee (a private organization). Senator Bernie Sanders' denial of the Democratic nomination in the 2016 cycle is an example of what can happen when powerful people work behind the scenes for their own interests.

This is something we may flesh out in more detail on The Kennedy Beacon, so stay tuned!

RFKJr is our only anti establishment ticket. It's him or more of the same. He is a true humanitarian. Trump, Biden, Bush, Obama, Clinton(s) are all part of the problem. One could argue Trump is not part of this class of oligarchs, but he is still pro establishment. Enough is enough! Big; Pharma, Oil, Business, Media, Government are completely out of control and need to be stopped. Our; lives, planet, and future depend on it.

What you're saying certainly seems to be what Americans continue to experience: promises of change, followed by more of the same establishment shenanigans. Of course, each administration sprinkles in some good things as well, but none have fundamentally resolved the worsening public-private merger that is quickly becoming a full-on technocracy. The authority and responsibilities of the Constitution are vested in the American people, and their elected officials are duty-bound to represent their interests - not those of the highest bidder.

Expand full comment

Technocracy! The most important single word that I'd say most do not understand, both right and left, and what it represents. This will be a tough learning curve for many of us but we'd best learn fast!! There are parts of history that I care NOT to revisit, and feudalism is one of them! If we go cashless, it's checkmate! We'll all be enslaved!

Indeed. For those who would like an introduction to the concept and history of technocracy, I highly recommend Patrick Wood's books "Technocracy Rising: The Trojan Horse of Global Transformation" and "Technocracy: The Hard Road to World Order".

This is extremely shocking to say the least but at the same time makes absolute sense.

Americans who's primary objective is money leading to power are often times in my opinion so caught up in the chase they don't see the exposure of their motives & intentions. I'm for Kennedy 2024. He has my vote & I will do whatever it takes to get him to the white house.

Expand full comment

Absolutely. Middle and working class Americans whose priority is paying the bills each month understand exactly the kind of turmoil the country is in, whereas those who occupy the venture capital and philanthrocapital spheres are understandably disconnected from the reality of day-to-day life. There's nothing wrong with building wealth through hard work and innovation, but as RFK Jr. recently pointed out, we're stuck with full-on "crony capitalism" that takes from you and I and sends it upwards.

I grew up watching my parents struggle to achieve "The American Dream" they barely did but they did provide me with more than what they had, but I have struggled ever since. The words that Mr. Kennedy speaks about the middle class & what we are going through is my life I truly can relate. And at 63 I have struggled so long that I don't mind, I can bear it but what I'm hoping for more than anything else is that my children & grandchildren won't have to. That's why I support Kennedy in 2024.

Post script on the whole bio weapon racial configurations: obviously this all came down to what the Cleveland clinic actually studied in terms of effects. I wonder whether they included Indians from the subcontinent? Everybody I speak with who had relatives there report devastating deaths. Given centuries-old rivalries, Indians could well also be a natural target for the Chinese.

Covid virus was designed and developed in US laboratory. China was just a low cost contractor for bio-weapon research that is illegal in the US.

Virus escaped from China’s lab -- CIA’s MAJOR criminals should be jailed for enormous economic damage and human death catastrophe – a truly global crime horror but, especially, -- in the US.

That “US security” CIA cancer should be defunded.
