Since the REAL ID Act was designed to prevent people of bad intent from boarding airplanes, I think it is time a study is done to verify how many times a plane was prevented from hijacking due to the REAL ID Act being implemented.
I believe I can already predict the outcome of the study. Zero events prevented.
This same study should be extended to evaluate how many times a federal courthouse has been prevented from destruction due to the implementation of the REAL ID Act.
Again, I think I can predict correctly the outcome of the study. Zero incidents prevented.
My conclusion is that this Act was designed to permanently maintain important identifying information about all United States Citizens, rather than a means to prevent any attacks upon civilian and government buildings and airplanes. Since it was filed and passed under false pretenses, all parts of it should be abolished, as it was a fraud against the public.
The same should happen to the so-called PATRIOT Act.
Autistic adults/those who cannot drive a car (here in Florida) are forced to get Driver's I.D. cards anyways. Was trapped in an I.D. waiting room for hours, and it sucked. Just to get a placard.
