Initially, the short video (below) by CNN seems reasonable. However, as is CNN’s habit, they bring in the “RFK Jr. is a conspiracy theorist” narrative. We all expect that. When so much of CNN’s programing is wrapped around chunks of pharmaceutical industry advertising, we know what we are going to hear. The truth seems to matter little at CNN. Pulling segments out of a larger speech by RFK Jr. to fit their narrative is unethical, yellow journalism. The network has falsely accused Kennedy of all manner of things in recent years and, in my opinion, it always comes back to defending their Big Pharma advertisers.
CNN hosts like Jake Tapper are clearly concerned that RFK Jr. in the White House will end the Big Pharma gravy train that has sustained CNN for years while the quality of their programming – and their audience – has declined. Tapper and CNN are lying through their teeth when they insist that the pharmaceutical industry does not influence their content. CNN dreads the day when RFK Jr. walks into the oval office and ends direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising on television.
