Wednesday News Round Up – Kennedy Surges Past 24% in Crucial Battleground States
“One of the principal missions of my campaign and of my presidency is going to be to end the division. I’m going to do that by telling the truth to the American people. I’m going to bring the troops home. I’m going to close the bases. And I’m going to start investing in the United States’ middle class and our country. I’m going to make us an exemplary democracy again.” – RFK Jr.
We begin with an X message by Saagar Enjeti that says it all:
But The New York Times is acknowledging the impact of RFK Jr. on the presidential election: “A looming rematch next year between President Biden and former President Donald J. Kennedy is continually attacked for being “anti-vaccine.” In this interview on PBS, Amna Nawaz insists that he is “anti-vaccine” and RFK Jr. passionately explains that vaccines have never been safety tested to standards that other pharmaceutical products have been: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on why he thinks he has a chance as an independent candidate | PBS NewsHour. Ms. Nawaz ought to check the facts – Kennedy filed a lawsuit seeking the vaccine safety data from the studies that the government claims to have done. The government did not do the safety testing. Kennedy was right. Wall Street investor Bill Ackman listened to RFK Jr. and he is now speaking the truth.

It does not seem to matter.
Something else is happening here. It has to do with what happens when people listen to Bobby Kennedy. They see him as authentic, compassionate, and human. Americans feel that RFK Jr. is telling them the truth. Could it be that after everything the nation has been through, Americans simply want the truth?

Please - all of you. Stop yourselves. Just because he won’t give you your desired response right now (as if there is an easy one) on the Israel/Gaza situation don’t try to insert your doubt that RFK is not a wonderfully viable candidate for president. He is & I for one am grateful & optimistic!!
"Americans feel that RFK Jr. is telling them the truth. Could it be that after everything the nation has been through, Americans simply want the truth?"
. . .
Except for Palestine? Since May, when RFK backtracked on his praise for Roger Walters, his stance on Israel-Palestine has appeared to lack the nuance and open-mindedness RFK has displayed on all other important issues. In August, RFK promised Jimmy Dore he would debate/talk with Max Blumenthal. So far, RFK hasn't (just like Peter Hotez has ducked debating RFK on vaccines).
Last week, shortly after it was posted, the "Kennedy Beacon" deleted Jeffery Sachs's article "Israel’s Chance to Turn Carnage into Peace" -- Friends do not let friends commit crimes against humanity. Censoring content you don't like? RFK himself has long been censored on vaccine issues, etc. The Beacon and RFK should be better than that!
