I'm a senior. RFKJR is a Godsend for America. He represents our last chance to return to balance. He knows how to lead our nation out of despair. I remember back to better days when

John F. Kennedy led America. I lived through all the negative changes that took place after JFK was assassinated. The altruistic feeling is what Robert Kennedy Jr brings back to the table, along with a single minded determination based on benevolence.

I am grateful for RFKjr. ♥️🇺🇸

Interesting article. Every time I mention Kennedy to a Trump hater, they say the same thing. Kennedy cannot win. Every time. And they just are not even open to hearing it. They are petrified that Trump will win and they do not even care or look at what any other candidate is doing or saying. They just say anyone but Trump and then Kennedy can't win. There is absolutely no discussion to be had. Minds are closed. It is sad that they are so closed off. Most of these people I talk to are in their mid thirties and through their 40's. My own children among them. I am hoping that Harris starts to sound so awful that they chance a listen to Bobby- but I do not hold out a lot of hope.

Great comment! Yes, it can be very challenging. FYI: the Beacon will soon be posting a compilation of links to articles, films and podcasts about Kennedy so that readers can easily share with friends and family.

That is great, but they just are not listening right now. I hope that things turn around and they realize we need an entire new change and they will be more open to listening and learning.

Except everything worked out…until 2000 when Bush/Cheney stole the election. I have an advanced degree and I started the program in 1999 and everyone was excited. I graduated after 9/11 and it was a totally different world…all I got was a lot of student loan debt and no job offers!

American voters are sooo brainwashed it is outrageous and infuriating!!! Most people I've talked to don't even know Mr. Kennedy's running! They've given up on politics and just apathetically let the evil wealthy bastards who've bought control of our government do whatever they want to do! I'm furiously trying to find a country where I could emigrate to!!!!!! 😭😭😭

PEOPLE! The "national debt" is a myth. That's why none of the other candidates talk about it unless they can use it to convince us we can't afford something. Every attempt to "balance the budget" throughout history has created either deep recession or outright depression in the economy. The federal government doesn't operate like a state, or a business, or your household. None of those can create money. There are ample good reasons for ending the tax-loophole gravy train for corporations and the plutocrats, but "lowering the national debt" isn't one of them.

How is the national debt a myth?

Because the federal government doesn't operate like a state or a business or your household. No country with a sovereign currency does. Unless the federal government issues funds into the economy, which are then used to pay taxes, the economy doesn't function. Tax cuts and loopholes allow the wealthy and corporations to hoard money, which is supposed to be employed in that economy to keep it functioning. Instead, they use it for the sole purpose of generating more income for themselves to hoard. Rinse and repeat. A country with a sovereign currency doesn't need to borrow and can't go bankrupt. “There's nothing to prevent the federal government from creating as much money as it wants and paying it to somebody.” — Alan Greenspan

One of the more accessible explanations of how federal monetary policy actually works is Dr. Stephanie Kelton's THE DEFICIT MYTH: https://bookshop.org/a/97093/9781541736191

No, Clinton solved the problem by jacking up taxes and slashing defense spending…and then Republicans freaked out and pushed Bush/Cheney down our throats.

And tanked the economy, just like every other time before. Try doing the research before you tell me I’m wrong by repeating the official narrative beloved by those who happily soothe you with propaganda that works because it “makes sense”. The 2001 recession was a mild recession. The reason the deficit increased after 2001 was because Bush slashed taxes and jacked up defense spending. Maybe you don’t remember that period because you were too scawed of scawey Muswims to see that the Deep State was the real enemy!!! WAKE UP!!!

I've been awake for 50 of my 76 years, sonny, meaning I lived through that "mild recession". I also know Clinton killed Glass-Steagal, and was all set to kill Social Security and Medicare when Monica Lewinsky hit the news. There's no deep state conspiracy. There's a plutocratic agenda that's 6 states from dumping the Constitution, to which both parties are collusive. As for "Muswims", they don't frighten me in the least. It's puerile ignoramuses that do that.
