RFK, Jr. has an excellent opportunity to become the first and only independent president since George Washington. And he must run as an independent to be on the ballot in the general election, because Democrats will rig the primaries to make sure he doesn't win.

The US is set up perfectly right now to elect an independent president. The vast majority of Americans are disgusted with both parties, and tens of millions don't want either Biden or Trump. These centrist voters would like an independent like RFK, Jr.

The way the media chorus is fear-mongering Trump supporters about RFK Jr says to me that the DNC definitely wants a simple re-match and is hoping to get Republicans to pile on against Bobby. My view: even if this were successful only fanatics and insiders want what the DNC is offering.

For the 2024 election it may be expedient for RFK to run either as an independent or as the nominee of some already established "third party" like the Libertarians. But I doubt that America's long history of having two and only two "major" parties is going to go away anytime soon, if ever. So what we really need at this point is for all of the well known self-declared ex-Democrats like Tulsi Gabbard, Naomi Wolf and Del Bigtree to join forces with RFK to organize a new party to completely replace the existing hopelessly corrupt Democratic Party in exactly the same way in which the then-new Republican party destroyed the Whigs back in the 1850s and nominated Lincoln as their candidate for President. This new party replacement for the Democratic Party is going to have to also get its members elected to Congress and the Senate at the federal level and to everything from governors and state legislators to the mayors and council members of city governments.

The other side of the existing "Uniparty," the Republicans, are not much better than the Democrats in terms of being controlled by corporate special interests like the military-industrial establishment. They probably also need to be completely replaced, perhaps with a new party led by people like Tom Massie, Rand Paul and Ron Johnson. Then the two new parties can touch base with their constituents (what a concept!) to establish their party platforms and stage congenial online debates.

If we do this right, by the time the 2028 elections role around we can be back to a true two party system with neither the Democrats nor the Republicans being part of it.
