And so their evil becomes ever more transparent. This is an act of desperation from the Fear, False power Control base.

They know the VOICE of WE the PEOPLE WILL BE their undoing. which is what they are most afraid of. Our First Amendment entitles all Americans to Freedom of Speech . This act of attempting to shut down the voices of our citizens is a major violation of our constitutional rights. The fact that both Democrats and Republicans passed this law tells us everything we need to know about how fully captured our government is.

With each passing day we can see how Mr. Kennedy's decision to leave the vipers den of corrupt Washington politics and declare his Independence as a Presidential candidate was a profoundly patriotic, esteemable and necessary act.

Long Live the Freedom Riders!!!

China uses Tik-Tok to dumb down Americans and to make children believe achievement is stupid and stupid things are good and funny. Meanwhile in China it us used to show kids the importance of achievement and social development: https://bitchute.com/video/MW67NcNlJhFs [1:29mins]

Tik-Tok is a potent weapon aimed directly at your impressionable child's mind.

You can say that about social networking in general. All this does is benefit domestic spying companies.

I disagree with you TriTorch. A lot of people are on Tik Tok, not only child. Each time that the cabal made in USA do something, it is the fault of Russia or China. Who is working at Google, Faceboog, Twitter, etc. Who is working at the Pentagon, CIA, NSA etc They are all american citizens born in USA. To all of you, try to see who are the enemies.

I agree that we should not use social media owned by China but I also think that Mark Zuckerberg, who sells users' data to China, and Pfizer, who has transferred data to China, should be shut down. Maybe better would be to use an American-made site that surpasses TikTok.

I think we agree.

You complain to the boss, he may, (I would) discipline or fire the employee. If so, no First issue.

A Harvard professor just got fired over COVID comments. As far as I know, no First Amendment issues have been alleged. Hopefully, it has taken Harvard's image down another notch or two. Deservedly.

Literally the first sentence of the Bill of Rights reads, “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press.” The First Amendment springs in part from the Colonial experience under the Stamp Act. The Stamp Act forced all written communication to pass through a governmentally approved medium of communication. The cost of the stamp was a mere pittance. But the cost of the censorship was worth a Revolution.

TikTok is a medium of information exchange used voluntarily by millions of Americans (not me because I’m not a child). I am not distracted by the claim “the Chinese are spying … ” They are looking at our data no more than the American security state is; but at least for China, they never promised me in the Bill of Rights they wouldn’t do that. (Fourth Amendment).

I don't think it matters who owns the social media companies, they are all after the same thing. It's very much a global takeover of societal, cultural, political structures. Free speech must always exist alongside critical thinking and open debate. It will help heal the tribalism and divide in the world.

Not only this but there are other laws being passed in states in America that are anti-free speech. https://needtoknow.news/2024/03/washington-state-get-2000-to-snitch-on-your-neighbor-for-speech-crimes/ Washington state: A new bill is set to pass into law that would pay up to $2000 to people who call a government hotline to report hate crimes and “bias incidents”. A “bias incident” is speech that is an “expression of animus” where criminal investigation and prosecution are deemed “impossible or inappropriate”. All records will be kept in a state government database. The bill will stop free speech. It will also have a profound effect on journalists and reporters. Bill 5427 is unconstitutional.

https://needtoknow.news/2024/03/south-dakota-gov-kristi-noem-signs-hate-crime-bill-to-stop-antiemitism-violating-free-speech/

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem signed a law requiring the consideration of the IHRA definition of antisemitism when investigating unfair or discriminatory practices. The IHRA definition violates the First Amendment to the US Constitution that establishes free speech.

The IHRA violates free speech as it forbids criticizing Jewish power in the media, economy and banking. Disagreement of facts about the Holocaust is banned. Accusing Jews of being more loyal to Israel rather than the country where they live is condemned. Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis is prohibited, and more.

Governor Kristi Noem signed HB 1076, which requires the consideration of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism when investigating unfair or discriminatory practices. The IHRA definition violates the First Amendment to the US Constitution that establishes free speech.

Kristi Noem, during her bill signing ceremony, acknowledged Dan Rosen advises her; Rosen is the president of the American Jewish Congress and is tied to the AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee that has a big influence on politics. AIPAC’s website states that it “is the largest pro-Israel PAC in America and contributed more resources directly to candidates than any other PAC. 98% of AIPAC-backed candidates won their general election races in 2022”

Disclosure. I am not a Tik-Toker.

Our major problem is this "national security" one size fits all get out of jail free card.

IMO, it is a "tell". Whenever they invoke "national security", it is because they don't want us to know what the real reason is. A fair assumption is that the reason is that it enriches those connected. The most "connected", of all, are the people doing the voting.

Does Tuesday follow Monday? Sorry, we cannot answer that on National Security grounds. How does that affect National Security? Sorry, we cannot answer that on National Security grounds.

With all due respect, the Constitution does NOT "guarantee free speech", never has and hopefully never does. What it DOES say is that the Federal Government shall not restrict speech.

If you were guaranteed "free speech" an employee of a fast food place, for instance, could greet you with a stream of obscenities and if his/her/its boss disciplined the employee the employee could call the cops. Have the owner prosecuted over the "guarantee".

My point exactly: "...prevents the government from making laws that...abridge the freedom of speech...". That is, the government does not have the right to abridge your speech, but has no obligation to defend your saying whatever you want.

Of course, this is routinely and egregiously violated; if the "right people" do it, it is OK.
