The most beautiful people in my world are those who have suffered, who may be damaged, who know true loss and the pain that brings. These are the most amazing souls who can see within themselves the darkness of the places they’ve been and look toward the light to lead themselves through. This is what RFK Jr is to me, this is who I’m looking for in my next President

You have very eloquently described my feelings, Thank you for a beautiful and heart touching article. I too am quite taken aback about how strongly my inner being resonates with this man ... he is on another level spiritually. He has restored my HOPE.

It's not even about whether I agree or disagree with him on anything, it's about the knowing that he is coming from a authentic place. What he is trying to accomplish won't be easy because most people are very narrow minded and they only care about whatever issue it is they care about and they expect some miracle worker to FIX it.. I say everyday if you want change, you have to first be the change you are seeking.

This world needs him. This world needs people like us who resonate with what he's doing to help however we can.

Thank you again for this gem.

Absolutely in agreement. The hope I didn't know I had lost. It was frightening for me at first, believing in someone is foreign to me. The article actually brought tears to my eyes because it resonates.

For me although I love him it's not so much about believing in HIM as about believing in the truth he represents as an instrument of that higher Love we all hunger for and all have access to (whether we know it or not) which has been sorely missing in these times and which is required of us if we are to heal our country and our world.

I agree with the article, but it glaringly missed his non-ethical position to back Israel 100% during mass murder, besides the occupation and break down of Israel's justice system. Instead of being a peace maker, such support encourages military escalation and hostilities in the region and world. For this reason alone, Flyby News, which is committed to the abolition of weapons of mass destruction like JFK promised or attempted to accomplish, is no longer endorsing the independent candidate's run for the office of U.S, President in 2024. This doesn't mean that I would not vote for him as the best of the horrific candidates, but no longer trusting his independence from Israel for U.S. policies. https://flybynews.wordpress.com/2023/10/30/agenda-for-israels-atrocities-explained/

Agree and thanks for writing so clearly. I was gearing up to volunteer for the campaign but can't do it, although I would vote for him, just with a lot of pain in my heart.

Yeah. I'm (almost) in the same boat right now. In Jan '21, I saw RFK speak at the Defeat the Mandates rally in DC. Last March, I was one of the first contributors to his campaign. Last April, I took a long Amtrak rail pass detour to Boston to be at his presidential announcement (only saw the first 5 minutes of his speech before I had to catch my return train!). Just before Oct 7th, I volunteered at a MI event got a selfie.

Why his hard-line take on Israel? I don't know. Last May, I suspect he was afraid of getting the Jeremy Corbyn treatment? Didn't want to get his wife in trouble? Doesn't want to lose big money doners? Doesn't want the heat from the Israel lobby? At the time, the issue wasn't front-line news so maybe it made some political sense then.

Regardless, now, with Gaza getting the "Dresden" & Samuel 15:3 treatment, his take doesn't even make political sense to me. He could easily just continue to strongly supports Israel & it's right to defend itself, but say carpet-bombing Gaza isn't "defense". He could adopt Jeremy Sach's recent advice (in "Common Dreams"; the "Beacon" recently deleted his Nov 2nd article; check your old email; see my comments in the Nov 8th Beacon news round up) to push for diplomacy & peace. A “Peace” stance would set him apart as an independent from the Dems/Repubs.

The most frustrating thing is that his stance will hurt his credibility with young people. They don't watch corporate propaganda news. If they dig into this issue, RFK's position won't make sense to them. If he doesn't tell the truth on this subject, he damages his integrity & credibility on all subjects. Young people have been burned by Bernie; they have an aversion to BS and hypocrisy. RFK is supposed to "tell the truth." That would be a lot easier than his repeating the same BS Israel lobby talking points he's parroted over and over again for months!

Imagine him on debate stage with Trump and Biden. Will they all just agree? That does seem like a world away from this moment though.

Do you somehow believe that Israel was NOT attacked?

Expand full comment

The Hamas attack was horrific. This brutal war of retribution is now at least 10x worse and it will not make Israel safer. Israel is creating more enemies faster than it kills old ones. They are trying to dig a hole in water.

This war is nothing more than revenge against civilians, not self defense. Netanyahu has been undermining the peace process for decades. Revenge for his brother? Lust for power? Doesn’t matter. This man must go.

Hamas brutal October 7th attack was horrific. However, it is being used for an agenda to clear out Gaza and Palestinians in a way to make matters worse. If one cares about hostages, and resolving the conflict, communication and not bombs would be much more effective.. and humane.. https://flybynews.wordpress.com/2023/08/02/rfk-jr-s-flaw-regarding-israel-vs-palestine/

But what would you pronounce when after the attack what Kennedy knows and that is that it is the global cabal that is orchestrating both sides, plans on sacrificing the Palestinians now and all the Jewish population later after they use them to take over what is left of the independent Middle East which is never going to happen? What would you tell the people when they can't hear anything on either side?

he's a Zionist - and I wonder about the author as well. Kennedy hid his racist zionist position for months until he needed to show the unrighteous rulers of our country that he was 100%

with them.. He lost all his truly good supporters. Watch Mike Adams on Brighteondotcom recent interview Dr Shiva who explains perfected what zionism is. And who Kennedy is.

RFK,Jr is a person who has healed deep trauma, overcome addiction, excelled in his profession, feels connected to nature, and cares deeply about his personal and human family. These are the qualities of self actualization.

The human who is self reflective and free of fear and ego, become compassionate and centered. They can act from the small voice within (not from the dictate of societal norms and constructs). They are the problem solvers of the world, the healers. There are many "soul" embodied individuals on the planet at this time. Most, if not all, are drawn to RFK, Jr.

Many comments I read mention his ability to inspire, a quality of a great leader. This is how things change. I trust him and his ability to follow his life purpose, wherever that may lead, because we always evolve forward, we always move toward the light.

War has existed on this planet since the origin of man. It is an archetype. Regardless of your perceptions of his stance on the ME. Unless we find peace within, we will never see it in our world. RFK,Jr has found peace within and he will lead us in the direction of peace. The rest is up to us.

With all due respect, how do you square being a "peace candidate" with backing Israel in "extended military campaign" that this man I love advocated? Further, he also has spoken out in favor of silencing student protests in favor of a ceasefire, etc. How do you square silencing those who see things differently with his fervently stated anti-censorship and free speech stances?

First of all, Israel is an ally, and there is much more to the mechanics of war and the history of this ongoing conflict than can be discussed here, especially not by me. I highly recommend yesterday's podcast 11/9/23 Glenn Greenwald and Jacob Siegler to more fully understand the logistics of conflict and war.

On "glenn" RFK,Jr answered a question regarding the Order of Importance, the war in Ukraine or the conflict in Israel? He responded, "They are equally important from a perspective of peace. The question isn't where we should devote the next hundred billion in military aid packages. The question is where the focus of our de-escalation and peace-making efforts should be. Both conflicts pose a serious threat to global stability. Under my Presidency, we are going to push hard for negotiated settlements and a just durable peace".

He DOES support free speech, he went to congress and has been involved in lawsuits to defend it. He DOESN'T support bullying and intimidation. We can't be trapped by black and white thinking; our government and society have stifled critical thinking.

Killing is killing.

https://denniskucinich.substack.com/p/thou-shalt-not-kill

RFK Jr consistently (until now) has spoken out on behalf of unconditional free speech. He repeatedly has said that free speech means speech we don't like, e.g. bullying. Now, voila, when it comes to Israel it changes. He's owned, and that's very very sad.

This is not a matter of black and white thinking; it's a matter of critical thinking, honesty, and political independence. It's a matter of the fate of a people, and the fate of our whole world.

Thank you so very much for writing what I have been thinking only so much more eloquently.

Perhaps now is the time for RFK to read again the book his father gave him. The Doctor choose to leave the halls of safety to be of service. Thousands of children are dying and even more being mutilated every single day.

For what? So Israel can make more terrorists for Netanyahu to use as an excuse for his existence.

There must be something better RFK can say than this ok.

rfj, jr's position is hypocritical. he is acting like the neo cons he criticizes. there's no difference between any other administration on israel/palastine . how is he going to be the peace candidate, end forever wars by way of diplomacy, end the military industrial complex when he is in lockstep with every other US president regarding israel? his silence about the slaughter and humanitarian crisis in gaza is shocking

it's downright shocking how he has handled this crisis. it goes against everything he has been talking about. it's like he has two personalities that don't jive. I was shocked by his silence, have you listened to him discuss his position on israel on the ruben report? take a listen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCYDsAB1_0A&t=255s that is when i knew for sure that i was done with him. israel can do no wrong and not one word of concern about what is happening in gaza. how could he be so tone deaf?

it's not blackmail, who would blackmail him???? he supports the status quo. Israel are the good guys, the Palestinians are the bad guys. For 75 years the conflict has been framed in this way. He's the one who uses those terms telling us we need to stop the good guy bad guy labels that create division. He won't even stand by his own words. It's that plain and simple.

His affirmation of the Ackerman screed was totally gratuitous. Absolutely no reason to do that? What is he thinking? The internet press has already picked that up and is talking about it. What Ackerman said was terrible--ordering a full-scale attack against Harvard students with any degree of sympathy for the Palestinians in the face of Israeli war crimes that even half the people in Israel don't support. Kennedy calls for "zero tolerance." Unbelievable.
