The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has denied RFK, Jr.’s request for Secret Service detail. It was the assassination of his father, Robert F. Kennedy that prompted Congress to enact legislation to provide Secret Service Protection for presidential candidates.
RFK, Jr. posted the following on Twitter early Friday:
Since the assassination of my father in 1968, candidates for president are provided Secret Service protection. But not me.
Typical turnaround time for pro forma protection requests from presidential candidates is 14-days. After 88-days of no response and after several follow-ups by our campaign, the Biden Administration just denied our request. Secretary Mayorkas: "I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F Kennedy Jr is not warranted at this time."
Our campaign's request included a 67-page report from the world's leading protection firm, detailing unique and well-established security and safety risks aside from commonplace death threats.
The DHS decision comes a day after Hunter Biden appeared in Federal Court in Delaware for his (now-failed) plea hearing for tax evasion and gun charges. Hunter Biden arrived with a taxpayer-funded motorcade and full secret service protection. However, RFK, Jr., who has the highest favorability polling of any presidential contender - and who lost his uncle and his father to assassination - does not deserve protection according to DHS.

It is a dark day for the US government and all of us. The total truth of what they have become should awaken the most faithful and captured. They are horrified of RFK, Jr. and what he stands for. His legacy of courage, truth, and standing up for the American People, will only get stronger and stronger, as their corruption is exposed into the light. May RFK, Jr. be protected by our love for him.
The last thing RFK Jr. needs is secret service "protection." His family has had enough of that already.
