Excellent article and points. While Vance is an interesting character and pick, I don’t believe he’s established his views credibly enough and I certainly wouldn’t trust him in the next plandemic, same with Trump who got rolled by his bureaucrats last time. They are both wild cards who change with the wind. Only Kennedy and Shanahan will consistently and rigorously stand for and do the hard work to protect our freedom of speech, health and food choice and everything else under the Constitution that is being threatened by globalist elites and the broken two-party system of which Trump and Vance are members. And only they can handle the complexities of these times with required nuance, thought, heart and deep regard for all Americans. They have my vote.

Something to keep in mind among all the hype of the RNC this week!

"Will a Trump-Vance presidency go beyond trying typical Republican strategies to improve the economy at a time when the US needs something far more complex? Do they consider the impacts of our food and medical systems on our health and our economy, or care one whit about the culture of corporate capture – how large corporations influence policies of the agencies they are supposed to regulate?"

The decline of the American economy has hammered the middle and working classes but the rich have prospered. Reversing the economic decline of the middle and working classes means stepping on the toes of the wealthy and the big corporations. These are the people who fund both political parties. They will not bite the hands that feed them. That's why we need someone outside the Republicratic apparatus to fix the mess. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (N.B: I am a life-long Republican who voted for Trump twice but never again).

You fail to mention that Vance has said something Kennedy has said: that new information can change his mind, and when that happens, he acknowledges when he's wrong and admits it as he changes his opinion. Both men have these admirable qualities - however, mentioning Vance's former opinion on Trump without this reasoning is unfair to Vance in the same way others have been unfair to Bobby. This is beneath you.

I am thinking that bullet caused some cognitive damage. Vance’s stance on vaccines is a big middle finger to a large chunk of Trump’s base. 🤷‍♂️

I don't know what you mean when you refer to "Vance's stance on vaccines." I understand that he made positive comments about the mRNA technology. Many people did. Did Vance support mandates?

Yes, he advocated for firing nurses who refused the Covid jab.

I think it's all pretty convenient that Peter Thiel gave millions to Vance when he worked for him, and Peter happens to be Trump's largest donor. Bought and paid for! 👎

Trump will be influenced yet again and let down his base again without them even waking up to it. These other battles ensures focus isn't on the big, real ones. Money is to be made, Trump is a business guy whose ego and desire to help his country can be used against us all by manipulative business plans. Like before. Unwillingness to review lessons learned shows us no lessons have been learned and we're in great danger unless people look to those who are aware of the true lessons and have learned from them and who do have plans to remedy. Kennedy and Shannhan have that. Trump has momentum from the drama pumping, not substantial information and plans that can help the people save the country.

The assassination attempt likely solidified Trump as the next POTUS. If that’s true, I hope RFK Jr will consider adding his incredible intellect and grasp of the health crisis by agreeing to join a Trump administration, perhaps has head of HHS. What better way to clean a swamp?

Trump is the one who should be getting behind Kennedy. Kennedy IS the one who has the experience in these vital matters, the necessary vital insights, awareness of the various evidences, and it is HE and he alone whose been fighting this without being president....and in spite of what this former pres did by declining Kennedys vaccine safety panel desires....he wnded up trusting Fauci etc, wont discuss the fallout because itll taint his "success story" wrapped around Operation Warp Speed, which now hes moving on already to their next big projects . ..he too easily gets taken by the ego draws they prey on with business ....the wrong guy to correct this mess. Kennedy IS THE remedy

That's what Trump proposed in 2016 but as soon as he was elected he got religion and joined the Church of Big Pharma. His appointment to HHS was a Pharma exec (Alex Azar).

I don't know whether the authors of this article intended to help or hurt the RFK, Jr./Shanahan campaign by writing this article. IMO the analysis is shallow and hurts the campaign. For example, if you're going to hold Peter Thiel's actions against Vance, what do you have to say about Shanahan's support, financial and political, of so-called "justice" DAs like George Gascon in California? I lived in San Francisco most of my adult life, and it breaks my heart to see what the ideological Left has done to that city. Shanahan supported some of the political causes that contributed mightily to that destruction. Rather than condemn her for that, I'd like to hear what she thinks now about causes she supported in the past. Why can't you extend the same courtesy to Vance?

Let's hope so although Trump's and Vance's stand on the US genocide in Gaza clearly remain a major concern.

Although, of course, with Trump there would have been red lines to Benjamin Mileikowsky Netanyahu's Gaza horrors -- with craven and corrupt Biden's cabal there are none.

Regarding your hope for deceptive imperial media's self-correction, whether is it real or illusionary, one near-term measure would be its push on assassination attempt's full disclosure -- was it a mere "incompetence" or a desperate Final Solution conspiracy by our ruling uniparty War "blob",,,

With RFK Jr. as AG it would be fully resolved -- if Trump would be a man enough to offer RFK Jr. that position.

"those concerned with the environment, sustainable agriculture, and health"

All of these issues can be addressed when there is a thriving economy such as the one Trump created during 45.

Expand full comment

Are you obtuse? The economy was doing well from the momentum of the previous administration. Have you forgotten Trump’s bumbling of the pandemic? He caved to his bureaucracy in miserable fashion, allowing Fauci to run all over him. He shut down the country, which ultimately wiped out millions of small businesses and shifted enormous wealth to those; already exceedingly rich. He gave us “Operation Warp Speed” giving pharmaceutical companies permission to rush untested vaccines into production, which have killed or maimed millions of people, world wide. He promised to balance the budget but, instead spent as much money collectively, as all prior administrations in the history of the republic, adding trillions to the national debt. He did nothing but wage division within the population while playing golf and ignoring the emoluments clause to enrich himself while in office. The man has done nothing during his life to suggest he gives a damn about anything but himself and you think he has the capacity to give substantive thought to ‘the environment?’ To ‘sustainable agriculture and health?’ Obviously your memory is as questionable as the current Whitehouse occupant.

I have two autistic sons and another with ADHD. I supported Trump in large measure because he seemed to understand the connection between vaccines and these plagues. He burst that bubble almost immediately by cozying up to Big Pharma and appointing a Pharma creature (Alex Azar) to head HHS. It was downhill from there.

Expand full comment

Consider the long game... In any case it is crystal clear that DJT is uncatchable.

Instead of crowing about cozying up for which there is some evidence, consider that long game. The swamp is deep and wide. His latest conversation a day or so ago indicates that he fully comprehends the issue, however he is astute enough to realize that someone else (RFK) is the guy to lead that charge. Brilliant beyond description.

Trump was told that 200million would die. OWS came from DOD conceived long before his presidency. He did not want to shut down the country. He was up to his neck in treasonous advisors who were determined to bring down his presidency. He did not draw a salary for the entire 4 years. There is no basis for the claim that he only cares about himself. I am for RFK for president but I will not sit back while people lie about Trump. RFK is more experienced and knowledgeable about the environment, food, pharmaceuticals, federal agencies and science. But Trump proved that he was benign and doing his best, even if he failed in some ways. I'm sure he has learned a lot and would do some things very differently if he was re elected.

I agree. @Handsome I am in your court and a Trump supporter and I understand what you mean BUT coming here and insulting those who are essentially our allies in this horrific fight for this country is not going to help. I like RFKJr and I like what he wants to do. But I also see the writing on the wall that Trump must be the next four years. At this point in time it has to be him. But it is only four years. A lot of good will start to come from that but it won’t be possible to sustain without the right people in place for the subsequent 8 years. RFKJr is one of those right people! We need him and his followers. We need to work together. It’s “politics” to have to pint out the potential negatives of those we are competing with and try to use it to gain advantage. I don’t blame them for doing that and they are doing it by attacking issues, not people. And I hope our Trump campaign will do the same. We cannot attack each other personally as you just did. “Wouldn’t want to see you shot on tip of a roof at a Trump function”? Really. That does NOT represent Trump supporters. I agree. There is true beauty in the free exchange of information and ideas. Truth, common sense, and wisdom always rise to the top eventually. Sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong. I don’t care so long as the truth prevails. Though there is an inherent danger and threat to this kind of exchange to certain core actors trying to control everything from the shadows. They NEED to control the narrative and the thoughts of the masses or they lose that control. This is why they have tried so hard to censor both RFKJr and Trump and all their followers. The Subs are their biggest nightmare. And I’m loving it.

I think people deserve to get to know in more depth who VP J.D. Vance is. Sasha Latypova wrote an excellent article about him. Here’s some excerpts:

“Vance’s VC firm also backs a $200 million biotech startup called AmplifyBio.” “Vance declared he personally owns as much as $100,000 in the company’s non-public stock” “Its core business is testing experimental drugs developed by other companies. AmplifyBio tests many of these substances on live animals, including monkeys and dogs.” “AmplifyBio tests cell therapies and other drugs that are likely derived from stem cell lines, including those recovered from aborted fetuses or live embryos.” “But of course, we immediately stumble on the military-industrial-international Medical Countermeasures Consortium!” “The animals were part of a study conducted for the military’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency, led by AmplifyBio’s parent company, Battelle.” “But Vance’s politics of distrust — of bashing high technology, the medical establishment, and even institutions of higher learning — makes his efforts to profit from a company like AmplifyBio even stranger. When it comes to his pocket book, mRNA drugs are just fine with Vance.”
