I have been making a monthly donation to the campaign, and following closely, promoting RFK Jr to people in my life. Like many, many others who were excited and felt hopeful, due to his outlandish, hawkish position on Israel's genocidal policies and actions I no longer can support him. You cannot be a 'peace candidate' and promote the slaughter of colonized civilians, 3/4 of whom are women and children. I am canceling my monthly donation and my subscription to this newsletter.

As I keep saying to folks posting these type of comments -- so to whom is your support going? Is Biden a "peacemaker" uh, far from it. Is Trump? Many would argue that -- although he's got an awfully idiosyncratic approach -- his record is objectively better. And yet his "downsides" are too much to overcome for a lot of independent voters. Everyone else currently running would be a "null" ballot that defaults to the eventual winner. Even Bobby is, I believe, a long shot, but at least he's in double digits. I tend to wonder if voters like Lenore are somehow hoping Biden will withdraw allowing the DNC to put forth a more "favorably polling" candidate. Even if the party elites do, the chance that that person won't also be a NeoCon seems slim to none.

No, I'm hoping Bobby will get enough pressure from the likes of us to realize he's wrong and change his position. But I fear he's owned by Israel, along with all of the politicians in Washington, DC. So interesting not a one can stand up. I'd hope Bobby would be the exception on this as he is on many other things.

Genocide policy? The Hamas charter is a genocide document . Using children as human shields is on Hamas. What country texts and drops flyers to an area of the population to get out before they attack? You can believe Hamas, just like they said Israel bombed a hospital, which turned out to be another lie. All this can stop if Hamas releases the hostages they took and stop shooting rockets at population centers.

This isn’t an either or situation. Both Hamas and the Israeli government can be wrong and we can choose to reject both of their perspectives. The same way both Biden and Trump can be wrong. The false dichotomies that Americans are constantly coerced to choose from is exactly what drew people to Rfk in the first place. Unfortunately it seems he is engaging in the same bullshit. Holding innocent people responsible for Hamas: “this can all stop if Hamas released hostages” -- is repulsive. That logic is basically a hostage situation -- all of Palestine is now held hostage by the Israeli government and its blaming Hamas, which was described as the “children of darkness” by Netanyahu for the continued bombardment of Palestine. You just described Hamas as being basically evil-- why would anyone rely on Hamas to care about the innocent people in Palestine? It’s an absurd stance to take. It would be like the Rebel army in Star Wars taking hostages from a planet that was ruled by the Empire, systematically torturing them and then saying to the Empire “you could make this stop if you just released *our* hostages!” The insanity of it is difficult to fathom. “The army of darkness” currently has Hamas and Israel hostage. The Israeli government and Hamas are two heads of the same monster. The US should not be funding or supporting the Israeli governments unhinged “vengeance” that is inflicting mass suffering and death on innocent people. It’s going to make America(and Israel!) less safe and it’s using our resources for detestable acts.

For RFK jr to call himself the peace candidate and all he can do is see in black and white with Israel and Palestine, is egregious hypocrisy and delusion.

I wish you were correct. You need to read some history. For one thing, Hamas is not equivalent to Palestinians, any more than Israel is equivalent to Jewry. Netanyahu helped start and financially backs Hamas, as an alternative to the secular PLO; why would he do that?

Hamas is part of the Muslim Brotherhood and when elections were allowed in Gaza, the Palestinians voted out Fatah and voted in Hamas. If you're getting your info from Al-Jezeera, then you are correct about Netanyahu. If you actually look at Netanyahu's history starting with being born in the USA, you may find some information that has a completely different narrative. I'd love to see your sources!

The US government has been the aggressive invader in Iraq, Vietnam, Panama, Syria, Libya, and others I probably don't know about. US citizens voted for these war-mongering, drone-dropping killers, then the logic cited above would follow that US citizens should be wiped out by whatever means possible.

Fine. It’s all good,.. I was rooting for ya, but PLEASE articulate your position on Palestine and Israel. Self defense?.. That’s a mutual proposition. Your position on the M.I.C.,.. on making peace,.. the things you say, all resonates, but your stand with the Zionist Fundamentalists is way too simplistic and contrary. Consistency please!..

This is my ONLY obstacle to backing Kennedy. International Human Rights organizations are calling what’s happening in Gaza a genocide, 200 children a day are being killed at this moment, 4,000+ in the last 3 weeks. Kennedy, as the preeminent voice for children, cannot be silent on this! It’s a horrific massacre of civilians and meanwhile Netanyahu has indicated that his intention is to eliminate the Palestinians on Palestinian land, either by pushing them into the Sinai desert or mass killings. This is a genocide and not to mention ethnic cleansing. This will not make the Jewish people safer, as we are seeing play out on the world stage.

Netanyahu cares nothing for the Jewish people, they are pawns in his lust for more power. Kennedy needs to do what morally right, as his father would have and call for a ceasefire. I pray that he does.

I sense RFK is holding off on further comment (have you noticed?.. many of us are unhappy.) He must realize it’s hurting him, and you know Glenn Greenwald will turn up the heat as others have. I’m willing to give his campaign a few more days to sort it out, but as of now he’s wading in contradiction. Very disappointing.

Israel and American Zionists have a LOT of power.

Cornell West is the only candidate who has ALWAYS taken a vocal stand against the Israeli occupation of Palestine, he lost tenure at Harvard a couple of years ago for it.

Not only is this a moral issues but doing the right thing could differentiate Kennedy from Biden administration with a bright line. The entire world can see the horror of what’s happening, Kennedy’s cannot shy away from doing the right thing lest he find himself keeping company with the Lindsey Graham’s and Nikki Haley’s of the world calling for complete annihilation of of the Palestinian people.

The Israeli "conflict" seems very very engineered. The most secure border on earth is breached by terrorists in gyrocopters. Yeah right got it.

I think we don't know the truth. And that simple narratives supplied by officials and the media mouthpieces don't add up. And I suspect there's been a lot more complicit backroom dealing than we know.

I do consider it possible that some surrounding nations are more than willing to see "Bibi" wipe out Gaza. And it seems to me, that Bibi, by funding Hamas, was at least anticipating that this group of terrorists -- who use aid money intended for average Palestinians to build underground bunkers and tunnels -- would provide him the opportunity one day.

And according to Israeli defense policy of "no negotiating with terrorists," he was more than willing to sacrifice Israeli civilians caught up in the initial attack and now in the hostage taking.

Still one can't be throwing stones, as Robert McNamara once said in effect, "if the carpet bombing of Japan had been televised, we'd all be considered war criminals." And yet the Japanese at the time were just as committed to extreme acts against us as their enemy. And so it goes.

Please tell me that RFK JR. is listening to Max Blumenthal and has changed his views about Israel. Then I will become enthusiatic about his candidacy again. I cut him slack on his ignorance before the latest round of Israeli genocide but if he persists he standing with Israel I'm not longer supporting his campaign.

“Due to Kennedy’s activism and the advocacy of many others, the US Navy ended the bombing of the island of Vieques.”

Where is his advocacy to end the wanton bombing of Palestine?

I was for you until your stand supporting the genocide committed by Israel. Now I'm looking more carefully at other things you are saying and finding fault with plenty of them. No, there is no politician coming to save us after all.

Yes, we need to listen to each other. Where are these conversations though? Social Media is full of polarized fighting, but precious few actual discussions.

Louis is getting more aggressive with his anti Trump rhetoric. This has exactly nothing to do with promoting RFK and is a common dishonest ploy. The Covid lockdowns need clarification, as there is much much more to this story. We are watching political theater at it best. Lies with no evidence Louis, that is a Democrat tactic. You really must do better.
