Sorry to hear this. I'm so tired of continued manipulation of free speech. There doesn't seem to be any anymore, not on any public forum. We need Kennedy elected to change this.

Hard to say how this plays out. Facebook and Instagram already suppressed content that promoted conservative/libertarian/independent views and rammed liberal woke viewpoints down our throats. If the end result of this is that we get neither liberal or other viewpoints on any issue deemed political, that would be an improvement over the current situation. And it appears that you'll get the content you want based on who you follow. It's honestly hard to imagine how these platforms would survive by eliminating everything deemed political. What is not political at this point? Apparently, Andrew Huberman's dating life is an issue that people take political sides on.

Why would RFK want to do that? He and Trump don't agree on very much. Trump had a chance to make a change on healthcare policy and just kicked RFK to the curb. Why would we trust him to do something different this time?

I was contemplating why I was seeing these when none of my activity would point an algorithm in that direction… my thought was to make mainstream and conservative viewers feel pressured and isolated. “Obviously, if this is what IG is showing me, it must be a larger trend among mainstream voters. Am I culling myself from the herd, out on a limb here, alone?” I think not. I think that we are being manipulated again. This META announcement doesn’t mesh with my observations. More manipulation with algorithms to train voters to go with “the popular crowd” by selectively determining “political” content. We need free speech! We can, as societies, choose healthy discussion and debate while being free to live as our hearts desire, IF government and power brokers (social media and other organizations with the hubris to think they know best) stop manipulating the way we relate to each other. We must see ourselves as one human race and be committed to a healthy, open hearted relationship with each other for lasting peace and happiness.
