Everybody needs community like that.

Happy indigenous People's Day! Everyone needs community including indigenous people who most likely felt that same Hudson River valley neighborhood was going to hell when the English language took over in the 17th Century and drove them out of their paradise. There were no corporate polluters or oligarchs in America then.

Hi Lou,

Enviable journey and you had beautiful weather. I am jealous!

Condolences to Bobby and his family. I didn't realize his mother was 96.

He was blessed to have her in his life for so many years.

Nov 5th will be monumental. Cant wait to celebrate.

Louis Conte -

Loved this charming essay! I admire your first-rate writing!

Thank you, Kennedy Beacon and Mr. Conte, for the verbal trip home. I grew up in Briarcliff Manor and walked to the Hudson at Scarborough Station. I spent much time in Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown and Ossining. Years ago I was drawn to Bobby because he cleaned up my river, and because a fellow psychologist launched him into vaccine research, and because CHD is an international force. I have abundant gratitude for the gift to humanity of this great man!

Make America Healthy Again concrete with The Medical Rights act of 2025 and Consitutional Amendment 28

“Any activity that affects the health of citizens shall be considered medical activity. The right to choose one’s participation in medical activity, including all diagnosis, treatment, and other interventions, is reserved to all citizens inalienably and individually. Harming with, compelling, coercing, or restricting access to medical activity is hereby prohibited and criminalized, to be adjudicated by local juries of ones' peers, all other laws notwithstanding."

This gives everyone concerned with mandated treatments relief, knowing we cannot be compelled or coerced; it gives everyone, especially women, relief, knowing we cannot have our access to medical treatment restricted by anyone, for any reason; and it creates clearly defined criminality and liability for those harming health in any way (medical manufacturers, social network operators, geoengineers, pesticide manufacturers, cell phone networks, etc.).

This is the Great Compromise that could win the election. Please pass it up the line.

Wow! I can’t believe it this is my Village! I have lived here my entire life. The river and the little 1883 lighthouse are two blocks from my apartment in Philipse manor.

I was a member of the Sleepy Hollow Society’s, name change committee for 15 years. Our mission was to change our former Village of North Tarrytown name, to our historic name of Sleepy Hollow.

The name change was led by the Sleepy Hollow Society, we were a group of proponents who wanted to revitalize the town. We believed the name change would attract tourists, homebuyers, and investors. Now we have incredible traffic, hundreds of tourists and so many events it’s impossible to drive through town.

This is the river where I met Bobby in the late 1980’s, while recording some of his and John. Cronin’s education class outings with local school students, with Riverkeeper and later PACE law school. Bobby’s work with Riverkeeper inspired me to volunteer the past 18 months with Kennedy24.

I know the owner/ creator of our new “Sleepy Too Coffee”, Kim Kaczmarek and her colleague, Mindy Cohena. Kim was a former Sleepy Hollow Middle School Special Ed teacher who has an autistic son. She wanted to create a business where disabled young people, could work and provide a service to the community.

I worked with Kim thru our non profit’s public access station’s volunteer special. education series and student training in the 1990’s.

Bobby did make the Hudson River Healthy again and all of our little river towns are so grateful for his good work.

Thanks American Values for featuring our Village! 😊 ‎

Thanks Louis, I know this is personal & forgive me, but I want to acknowledge your two sons. My sister has 2 grandsons (same family, the 3rd child, a girl does not), and I can’t help but wonder every day if their environment, diet or just what is the cause. This is one of many reasons I’m a Kennedy supporter and now MAHA, we must take our country back and clean up our food.

This town is about 30 minutes north of me and I will make a point of visiting that coffee shop soon. I hope to move there in the next few years as all these new beautiful condos have gone up overlooking the Hudson and the Tappan Zee Bridge. The river walk is beautiful and there are lovely restaurants all along it. It is definitely worth seeing. And the lighthouse is beautiful. I’m incredibly proud to have been a supporter and volunteer of Bobby’s campaign and I know he would’ve been an amazing president. A shame this country is too stupid to realize what they missed out on.

Thank you Louis Conti for your continuing efforts to portray the specific life enhancing platforms and opinions of RFKJr (MAHA) with well delineated predictable outcomes. Kennedy has been a master of successful environmental outcomes for decades. He has now turned his worthy strengths directly to the Health of his people….the American people and beyond. ‘Become The Change you Want to See in the World.’ Vociferously Embrace these outcomes by voting for Kennedy’s plans in the only Party that was able to welcome his compassion, intelligence and wisdom. 💜

Hey, my niece and her husband live in Pleasantville:-) They are both on the Pace University faculty, and that's a place that RFK Jr. knows very well. Otherwise, a GREAT article on a cool small village:-)
