So true about the 2 party system.. And when we vote lesser of 2 evils we still get evil and I think the US ranks as the most evil nation on the planet. I will not vote for either one. I am fed up with evil.

The two party system has undermined the separation of powers which was the heart of the Founders' framework for the country. The Founders thought each branch would jealously guard its perogatives. Instead, the parties have effectively merged the branches so that the branches that are controlled by a party march in lockstep. Bobby becoming president could restore the Constitutional balance.

“ military contractors and other interest groups”

Well it doesn’t matter how many parties there are if all the parties are captured by the same lobbies. In that instance, it isn’t a problem with partisanship, it’s a problem with the fact that all the parties are actually aligned and people only have the “choice” between issues that are actually potentially less important to the greater interests of the country. “Unity” is bad. In Rfk’s case, it is the Israel lobby, which has captured the Democratic and Republican parties along with Rfk.

To not vote to fund and arm a genocidal foreign regime (Likud) that harms American security and prosperity, a voter must go to much much less viable options, such as the Libertarian Party. Although that is perhaps what should be done, so that at least one party knows that it’s not going to win elections while it continues to submit itself to corrupt foreign national interests.

And that should especially be done with Kennedy. His brand is a complete fraud so long as he demonstrates greater fealty to the genocidal interests of Likud than the interests of the US. And no one who is drawn to his anti-establishment rhetoric should vote for him until he rebukes the government of Israel and denounces funding and arms transfer.

I've believed for a long time that 2 competing parties must necessarily end up as an endless stalemate in which nothing meaningful is ever addressed. It reduces politics to sport. The only thing that can unify the opposing parties is maintaining the balance of power which keeps them opposed.
