Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gave the Democratic party, the historic party of his family that produced one President, two senators, and a few others elected to office, a chance to be the avenue of his candidacy for President. The Democratic party made it clear that its nomination of a candidate for 2024 will be a tightly controlled, even pre-determined process, one in which Kennedy and any others outside those pre-determined are not even considered. In short, the Democratic party establishment itself nipped Kennedy's candidacy as a Democrat in the bud.

In his initial announcement, the prominent campaign signage said, "I am a Kennedy Democrat." But, obviously, being a *Kennedy* Democrat isn't compatible with being a Democrat in the 2020s. In short, the Democratic party of his familial and political lineage failed Bobby Kennedy. He only left the party after it was clear he had been systematically shut off by party leadership.

Kennedy's decision to go the independent route in his candidacy for President, which he said in his speech in Philadelphia was a painful one, indicates to me his willingness to be aware of the reality of the situation in our country and in our world today and then, where necessary, make the hard choices to survive and thrive. For me, just the fact that a Kennedy Democrat is willing to confront his rejection by his own party head-on is a lesson to all of us. As the saying goes, we can either curse the darkness or light a candle.

My brother has always been a staunch Republican; I have always been Independent. He said to me, "So, your guy is running as an independent - how come I never see anything about him on the news?" I explained he needs the right news sources, and we discussed Mr. Kennedy's beliefs and goals. I told him I would email him some good info, like The Kennedy Beacon. He ended the conversation with the comment, "I think I will be voting for Kennedy." Keep spreading the word - so many people just don't know the real Robert Kennedy Jr!

Mr. Kennedy is ducking the issue of the hour, Israel's war against the Palestinians that has been going on for 75 years with US support. In fact his statement eggs them on. You can count me out.

Although I cannot disagree with your statements of fact, Kennedy is the only potential candidate for real change in US foreign policy. This will include challenging the US support of the one-sided, Apartheid state of Israel against the Palestinians. If there is an alternative hope, please enlighten us. At least we know Kennedy will listen, use critical thinking and logic and not fold under political pressure, especially now that he's not under the thumb of the Uni-party system. He can and has proven that he will change his mind when confronted with overwhelming data and information. We need EVERYONE on this team for changing the system.

Please reconsider.

I am certainly sensitive to what you are saying, but I also have to say that I am sick and tired of getting on my knees and begging political leaders to say and do the right thing. This applies to Mr. Kennedy as much as anyone else. When are leaders going to lead and not just see which way the political winds are blowing?

Your concerns are well-founded, and I encourage you to keep voicing them. If you don't feel the issue has been adequately addressed by Kennedy or any candidate, they must be reminded.

Right! Who are you gonna vote for? That’s the big question…. If you have any common sense, you know that nobody’s perfect but we need a leader that’s going to speak the truth as much as possible maybe we don’t agree with everything. We need to move forward with a major change in America progress - our decline is measurable and it’s because of lies and lack of accountability.

I think both sides need new leadership, he isn't ducking it. He talked about it on Fox news yesterday. The video is on his Kennedy24.com. Hamas has been outrageously taxing Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank, they hardly have these Palestinians best interests at heart either. It's a land dispute with these people in the middle who can't get ahead because corruption on both sides. Sounds oh so familiar.
