Weekend News Round Up – While Major-Party Candidates Unleash Vitriol, RFK Jr. Campaigns for and with the People
“To change the divisive nature of American politics, I’m running a civil, independent campaign focused on issues not easily identified as right or left. As President, I will pursue sensible policies that are good for ALL Americans.” – RFK Jr.
We begin with this CenterpointTBN interview with former Republican senator Scott Brown, who reports on his impressions of RFK Jr.:
Brown recalls that RFK Jr. spent hours talking with voters at a political barbecue he held a few months back. Brown stated, “We had about 2,000 people. He shook hands and took a selfie with every single person.”

Doctors for Censorship – Missouri v. Biden update:
Please read this excellent article by investigative journalist David Zweig: The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association Want the Government to Censor Americans | Silent Lunch (Substack). Zweig writes, “Late last month, without fanfare, and zero media coverage, a striking document that suggests the federal government should be able to censor the speech of Americans—in violation of the First Amendment—was authored by several of our nation’s top medical associations.… The document—by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and three other medical organizations—came in the form of a legal brief filed in relation to Missouri v Biden, a free speech case that will be heard by the Supreme Court this spring. The case centers on a suit by three doctors and two other citizens who have thus far successfully argued in lower courts that the federal government coerced social media platforms to censor them, in violation of their first amendment rights, because they attempted to post content that was disfavored by the authorities. In advance of the court date, numerous amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) briefs—among them the one from the medical associations—have been submitted to the court by various groups, advocating for one interest or another relevant to the case, hoping to inform and influence the justices.”
Zweig concludes, “While the brief does not explicitly call for censorship, its argument can only be read through that lens.”
It seems that the nation’s leading medical professional organizations favor censorship.
I researched who funds the AAP and AMA. For example, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and several pharmaceutical companies quickly surfaced as “partners” of the AAP: Current Partners (aap.org). I also noticed in this 2021 document that Pfizer has given both organizations substantial resources: Report_FY-2021.pdf (pfizer.com). One can assume that other Big Pharma players do as well.
Are the nation’s leading medical organizations paid sock puppets for Big Pharma?
January 6 – again:
Yes, yesterday was the third anniversary of the January 6 capital riot. What occurred that day was a disgrace. However, it hardly makes for the centerpiece of a presidential reelection campaign. Glenn Greenwald gives his insights:
Joe Biden and the DNC – saving democracy by rigging presidential primaries:
President Biden and the DNC, self-proclaimed defenders of democracy, are jiggering more state primaries. Take a look at the recent DNC presidential primary shenanigans that the legacy media has not been telling you about:
Democratic officials keep other competitors off North Carolina ballot, leaving Biden the only choice | Washington Examiner. Marianne Williamson said, “Their decision to protect political parties instead of voters is a failure to protect democracy itself. The North Carolina State Board of Elections has disgraced themselves and disgraced the voters of North Carolina. The crisis of Democracy in our nation is institutional.”
“The Democratic Party is doing everything possible to remove any candidates from the ballot that aren’t named Joe Biden.… From Florida to Tennessee and now North Carolina, they’re doing what they can to suppress other candidacies.” – Biden won’t have challengers in NC 2024 primary election, state Democratic Party decides | WRAL.
Biden primary foe Phillips will challenge states where he missed ballot | Semafor. Minnesota Rep. Dean Phillips “still hoped to make the Tennessee ballot, after submitting over 3,000 signatures.… Four days earlier, North Carolina party chair Anderson Clayton sent a letter to the state board of elections, listing only Biden ‘for the 2024 Democratic Primary ballot.’”
Biden Admin WAVES OFF Accusations They Usurped Democracy by CANCELLING Democratic Primary | Rising. Briahna Joy Gray says, “Apparently, under the rules of the Florida State Democratic Party, they can unilaterally decide which names can appear on the ballot. They have decided that only Joe Biden’s name will appear on the Florida ballot.” Robby Soave replies, “That’s one way to win.”
Thank God RFK Jr. is running as an independent. The Democratic Party no longer runs presidential primaries. They run coronations.
