Weekend News Round Up – RFK Jr. Builds Momentum by Addressing What Matters to Americans
“Every president enters office promising to unite the country and work across the aisle. None of them ever do. They can’t; they’ve already taken a side. Well, I’m not going to have that problem. Instead of asking people ‘Which side are you on?’ I’m going to ask, what do you care about? What do your children need? What is it like to be you? What do you love?” – RFK Jr.

“I really started investigating bitcoin and the more that I learned about it, the more I fell in love with it and fell in love with the community,” said Kennedy. “It’s democracy. It’s a guarantee of democracy, that decentralization.… If the government has the capacity to shut down your bank account and starve you to death and get you thrown out of your home and make it so you can’t feed your children, it has the capacity to make slaves of all of us.” – RFK details importance of bitcoin for U.S. freedoms, ‘It’s a guarantee of democracy’ | TheStreet Crypto

“The idea that Israel is an apartheid state because it’s a Jewish state? Israel is the only nation in the region that does not have an official religion,” Kennedy said. “You look at this double standard that is being now applied to Israel’s behavior compared to the behavior of all the countries around it. There’s no other country that is a democracy in the region.””
That is from his interview with Cuomo, which is linked. Rfk jr should go do an interview with Glenn Greenwald.
The notion that Israel doesn’t have an official religion is an absurdity. In its nation state laws it clearly states that Jews only have the right to national self determination in Israel, and that the state financially supports the Jewish religion exclusively. It’s a Jewish Supremacist state. What other countries around it are doing is irrelevant to that fact.
In two sentences he says Israel is a Jewish state but doesn’t have an official religion. He is delusional.
If there is a double standard such that we are funding apartheid states in the region of Israel and there is no political objection here in the US, the proper course of action is to fund no apartheid states, not all. Although I’m not aware of any other apartheid states in the region we are funding. I personally don’t think we should be funding any foreign governments with US taxes.
Israel is also not the only democracy in the region. Israel is not a democracy any more than Egypt is a democracy. The US, even though it’s not in the region, is not a democracy either. It is a republic with fairly weak democratic elements. The term “Democracy” is largely a term of propaganda, and has been widely used by the governments of “democracies” such as the US to justify military intervention and imperialism. The fact that Rfk jr is using the rhetoric of the establishment to justify his support for Israel demonstrates his anti establishment posturing is bullshit.
Right now he seems to be more concerned about convincing the young people who support him that they should support the establishment line on Israel than he seems concerned about leading the country away from the government’s imperialistic foreign policy, which includes its military and financial support of the Israeli government. He seems to have even degenerated to the level of sloppily slandering people who are critical of the Israeli government as “anti-semites”, aka racists.
The charges of anti semitism are so pernicious and irrational. “Anti-semitism” is such a nonsensical term in the way it is commonly applied. Jews aren’t a race. Judaism is a religion. Not all Jews are semites and not all semites are Jews. And there is nothing I’m aware of that could be classified as “semitism”. What is that? Is that like “blackness”?
And there very passionate Jews who are strongly critical of the Israeli government. Many of the students that Rfk jr is suggesting are “anti semetic” are Jews. Calling Jews anti semites because they are critical of the Israeli government (or American government for that matter) is like calling Martin Luther anti-caucasian because he was critical of the Catholic Church.
That Rfk jr is peddling that sort of garbage propaganda is a red flag.
Bobby made a mistake parting with Dennis. Bobby for some reason now values winning above his mission of truth telling. I still appreciate all he has done ... CHD for example and especially ... but putting Boteach on stage in Philly and suggesting we should perpetuate dependence on Middle East oil and support the carnage in Gaza to that end is a betrayal of Bobby’s supporters and an announcement that he is NOT independent just as he is declaring that he is. That is cognitive dissonance ... exactly what he is supposed to be doing away with. Little Boteach has lost his sheep, so he tried to lure fans of Robert Francis. Leave them alone. They’ll just go home. And in November vote for DeSantis, Or maybe not. What was that Hochulesque isolation and quarantine law passed by the Florida legislature all about? Maybe Bobby is all we’ve got. Bobby: dump Boteach. Get Dennis back. Tell the truth. Interview Scott Ritter and COL MacGregor on Israel just as you did for the truth about Ukraine.
