Wednesday News Round Up – RFK Jr. Vows to End the Corporate Capture of Government Agencies by Industries They Are Supposed to Regulate and Place Interests of Americans First
“I am not interested in business as usual. I’ve spent 40 years suing federal agencies. Now I’m going to turn that experience toward reclaiming them. The first step is to replace their top-level management with people who are not beholden to a corporate agenda.” – RFK Jr.
“I will go through the federal bureaucracy agency by agency to install honest, competent leadership. They will change the organizational culture of those agencies so that their employees — the majority of whom are decent civil servants who really do want to serve the public interest — can do their jobs.” – How I Will Free America from Corporate Capture | RFK, Jr.’s Policies + Politics (Substack)

But, some of that youthful support could wane if they take a closer look at RFK Jr's interviews with the Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, etc. The most frustrating thing is that I believe RFK's hard-line Israel position will hurt his credibility with young people. They don't watch corporate propaganda news. If they dig into this issue, RFK's position won't make sense to them. When he parrots Israel Lobby talking-points he damages his integrity & credibility on all subjects. Young people have been burned by Bernie; they have an aversion to BS and hypocrisy.
If RFK Jr is merely misinformed on the history, perhaps he should keep his promise on the Jimmy Dore Show to speak with Max Blumenthal: (as RFK likes to say, "Show me where I'm wrong"...).
Or read one of the book's Jeremy Sachs's suggested (see "Israel’s Chance to Turn Carnage into Peace"): "I refer readers interested in the detailed history of this long saga to the wise and scholarly study by my esteemed colleague Professor Rashid Khalid, The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine. Historian Ian Black, in his book Enemies and Neighbors: Arabs and Jews in Palestine and Israel 1917-2017 ..."
