Tuesday News Round Up – U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty Rebukes the Biden Administration’s Censorship Program - “The Administration assumed a role similar to an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth.’”
“There is no instance in history when censorship and secrecy have advanced either democracy or public health.” – RFK, Jr.
Censorship Ruling
U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty rejected an administration motion that he put his own July 4 order on hold. Doughty’s Monday order said, “Defendants argue that the injunction should be stayed because it might interfere with the Government’s ability to continue working with social-media companies to censor Americans’ core political speech on the basis of viewpoint. In other words, the Government seeks a stay of the injunction so that it can continue violating the First Amendment.”
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was interviewed by WABC’s Frank Morano late Sunday evening and offered the following comments on the Biden Administration’s censorship program:
“I was the first person that the Biden Administration began censoring on January 23rd, 2021.”
“A government that can censor its opponents and its critics has license for any kind of atrocity.”
