“The most basic function of governance is to run a government and pay its bills. Congress has trouble even doing that. That’s why I’m running as an independent. Even the ‘adults in the room’ become childish when partisan politics takes over. We need an independent President.” – RFK Jr.
David Paleologos in USA Today: “Kennedy has become the new face of the independent voter, for now. Among just independents, he polls at 23%, within that statistical margin of error. And among independent women, Kennedy (30%) leads both Biden (27%) and Trump (22%).” – A 2024 frenzy? How RFK Jr. could chip away at Donald Trump and Joe Biden’s strategies in 2024 race | USA Today.
This article in The Hill features different points of view on RFK Jr.’s independent candidacy: RFK Jr. lurches right with independent 2024 bid | The Hill. “‘I think his shtick will be to attack both parties,’ [Republican strategist Jason Cabel] Roe said, adding that Kennedy also will likely have to level with voters at some point. ‘Hey guys, I’m not going to be the prototype of what you want. But I’m less of what you hate and more of what you like. And maybe the water’s warm just this one time.’” Kennedy has pointed out that he will have policies that borrow from both ends of America’s political spectrum. Both major political parties have transitioned to different bases in recent years – at the expense of the middle class and working poor. RFK Jr. has promised to make those struggling in America the focus of his administration.
There has been significant discussion about whether Kennedy is in favor of reparations. This video, recorded over the summer as part of his interview with Math Hoffa, explains RFK Jr.’s views clearly. The men listening to him respect his perspective:

I am a New Yorker. A lot of what you have heard about us is true – we are hardworking, cantankerous, outspoken, and assertive. And that is after we have coffee in the morning. It seems that most New Yorkers have had it with the Democrats who run this state:
My prediction is that Kennedy will win New York!
Oliver Stone endorses RFK Jr. – RFK Jr for President (Fan Page) on X: “For thirty years @TheOliverStone has been trying to remind America of the Kennedy vision of peace as an alternative to our Forever Wars. Thank you, Oliver!”
Kennedy calls out the CIA – Robert F. Kennedy Jr on X: “According to WaPo, CIA is helping Ukrainian agents enter Russia to assassinate politicians, bloggers, retired military, etc. How would we respond if, say, the KGB helped Iranian agents ‘liquidate’ U.S. citizens they didn’t like?”

Newsom has surprise meeting with China’s leader Xi amid warm welcome in Beijing | AP. Was Newsom trying to look “presidential”? Or is he circling above the DNC election machinations, like a vulture?

We wrap noting that the Supreme Court will soon decide the Missouri v. Biden censorship case – FREE SPEECH Violation?! SCOTUS To Decide GOV’T’s Social Media Meddling Against 1A | Rising. The Biden administration’s censorship of RFK Jr. is a key element of this case.
We live in perilous times, and we need investigative journalists to pursue the truth. We need to discuss and debate the news of the day – not suppress and silence it. Without freedom of speech, we are not free.
The violence in the Middle East is drawing the issue of censorship into stark focus. Whatever your point of view on the war in Israel and Gaza, the government’s inclination toward silencing of dissent is becoming more obvious. Consider this article: White House Backs First Amendment Protections for Student Protesters | RealClearPolitics. The Biden administration seems to be supporting free speech – in protest against another country. However, the administration has a very different view when speech questioning our government emerges, as Matt Taibbi notes in this excellent article: Newsguard Case Highlights the Pentagon’s Censorship End-Around | Racket News. As the day wound down, the Biden administration’s censorship leanings again resurfaced – Biden Admin DEMANDS CENSORSHIP of Al-Jazeera Over Israel-Palestine Coverage, Report Suggests | Rising.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been fighting censorship for two decades. He knows that truth dies in silence. As the Supreme Court considers the most important First Amendment case of the century, much is at stake. The silence of censorship can be deadly. As an example, I point to a video by Dr. John Campbell, who lives in the UK, where the law constrains speech critical of the government. At the end of this video on the worldwide phenomenon of excess deaths, Dr. Campbell, a man of science, makes an important statement that could result in government sanctions against him. This video may be taken down – International excess deaths | Dr. John Campbell. That is how it is in the UK, in Canada, and in most of Europe. Do we want this in America?
Without freedom of speech, we are not free.

I really appreciate your substack--especially the video on Reparation and the news of Oliver Stone... But are the underlined titles meant to be links? I can't access them. I would appreciate more links to the articles you are pointing to. Thank you and thank you so much for your courage and constancy in support of our democracy.
Not really independent... re the middle east.
Also his idea of helping people buy houses by giving cheap mortgages doesn't fix the problem of the prices being so high.
What good does a mortgage do when the price is sky high? Nothing!!
