Sunday News Round Up – RFK, Jr. Stands in Opposition to Biden Administration's Use of Censorship.
“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” - Martin Luther King, Jr.
We begin this morning with a discussion about censorship.
The New York Times has come under fire for endorsing the DNC’s view of censorship: You are free to engage in speech that supports the DNC’s positions. Everything else is misinformation and can be censored and driven from the public square. NYT panned for saying RFK Jr. hearing 'raised thorny questions' whether 'misinformation' is protected speech | Fox News. There are voices, besides RFK, Jr., who recognize the problem. Former ACLU president cautions that American self-censorship is eroding free speech | Fox News. The Wall Street Journal supports Kennedy’s concerns that free speech is being eroded. RFK Jr. and the Democratic Effort to Censor a Censorship Hearing | WSJ Opinion.
This City Journal Article the New Censorship | City Journal reminds us that journalists Matt Taibbi, Michael Schellenberger and Bari Weiss received abuse similar to RFK, Jr. by Virgin Island’s Delegate Stacey Plaskett when they testified about censorship at a Congressional Hearing in March:
“Virgin Islands’ delegate Stacey Plaskett, the ranking minority member, opened the prosecution’s case by showing a video of a former Twitter executive complaining that he had to sell his house because of the Twitter Files. Then she seemed to accuse Taibbi and Shellenberger of terrorism: “you represent a direct threat to people who oppose you.” The word “threat,” it should be understood, carries a specific and ominous meaning in government.”

Censorship of dissenting views is now fully supported by the Biden Administration and the Democratic National Committee. Legacy media outlets – CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. – what I refer to as Team Deep State, support censorship.
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stands against them and is fighting to restore freedom of speech before it is swept away.

Excellent coverage- this is a great newsletter! Very helpful to have the overview, sources and quick synopses 👏
Heartening to see this effort - thank you! Media censorship is what concerns me more than anything in this upcoming election.
