Why would anyone want to ban RFK from the ballot if he is no real threat to Biden?

I’m an independent who had planned to vote RFK in the AZ primary. Then I learned that AZ primary rules exclude Indies from presidential primaries. I hope he decides to run 3P. Perhaps I’ll re-register as D, haven’t decided.

What’s concerning is that D voters refuse to grasp that the DNC does not now, nor ever has cared about their will. In 1948, AL Ds refused Truman a ballot position. In 1968, the DNC nominated Humphrey, who had participated in ZERO primaries. In 2016, they tossed the guy with the highest popularity. In 2024, they’re gonna refuse the only one who can fire-up their base.

They don’t care.

This is problematic: The job of D party leaders is to nom the person they think has the best chance of winning. If their voters disagree, they need to change party leadership. They won’t. Oh well.

Many D voters are upset by Maui, illegals in NYC, the actions of the D gov of NM. Ya know what? None of that matters - and D leadership knows it. NM, NYC, HI still will vote D, and everyone knows it.

Superdelegates, and the two new versions being introduced by the DNC, coupled with penalties against states and candidates who campaign traditionally will ensure the D leadership will continue to ignore their voters.
