Breaking: Kennedy Announces Economic Policy

Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has released the first video in a series that will outline in detail his policies for the American economy.

Despite the much-hyped narrative that the economy is booming, Kennedy said the average American is living in a much different reality. As Kennedy explains, his trips across the country in recent weeks have highlighted the growing disparity between the working class and the wealthy, with far too many Americans having to choose between medicine, food, gasoline and rent. This while the cost of living continues to rise and employment opportunities grow more scarce by the day. In Kennedy’s words, “most Americans are living on the precipice of desperation.”

Kennedy highlights the reality that this is not a problem caused exclusively by the current Biden administration. President Donald Trump’s economic policies also fell short of fulfilling their promise to raise up the middle class, a fate sealed when the Trump administration chose to acquiesce to misguided pandemic response recommendations.

These problems will not resolve on their own, particularly as more and more Americans lean into their credit cards to help pay the bills. As Kennedy notes, “credit card debt is $300 billion more than when President Trump took his oath of office,” with interest rates on that debt averaging 22%. 

Debt, he notes, will continue to compound until meaningful and rapid changes in federal economic policy are implemented, relieving the artificial and unnecessary pressure squeezing Americans dry in the name of bragging rights based on meaningless metrics. “Whatever graphs and data and statistics that government officials use to try to gaslight us into believing everything is hunky dory, reality is written across this country on the plywood that is boarding up all of these closed businesses,” Kennedy said.

He continued, “For most Americans, the American Dream has turned into an American Nightmare.” 

Kennedy asserts that as President of the United States, he will spend every day working to right the ship. “The government created these problems,” he said, “and you deserve a government that’s going to solve them.”

Kennedy supporters won’t need to wait long to learn his more detailed plans, across the policy spectrum. We can expect him to confront his proposed solutions with the same vigor in coming weeks.
